Winter fabric sewn for Bargello Winter

I have finished sewing my winter fabrics for two of them..One will have fractures and one will be what is required to do in class. quilt as you go. They are in tubes and now have to cut them into different sizes and start putting them on the designing wall..and sew again..lol I am loving it and I have started to design one for me..but since I do not use EQ5 or 6, it will be on graph and maybe one of my other software can help.
I am taking Fancy That with Nyla Morrison. It starts on Sat but will be able to get the first lesson tomorrow night. Also retaking another class.
Next week I start Waves and Waterfalls with Linda Schmidt..this one does or will not stress me out..lol my type of quilting..art and textiles..lol
My brother is going to have his tripe by pass surgery on August 13th, next week. I am not able to go down there..

Just a Note

Hello, everyone,
I have not been blogging as there is not much going on right now..I have hurt my right foot right under the little toe area and can hardly walk now for 3 days..So all I am doing is knitting, reading and writing..watching some TV.. I have tried to sew but that is the foot I have to use with the sewing machine pedal.. This morning I did get the strips sewn up and into tubes..and will try and get them cut up something this afternoon.. I also working on my zodiac quilt on the other machine.
I do want to thank all of you for visiting my blog and also for emailing me about things on my blog..it is always nice to hear from all of you..hugs, Lorraine

My Winter Fabrics for Bargello Seasons

Here are the fabrics I choose for winter..I see a snow storm brewing here..My oil painting I did awhile back has the purple skies and snow all over . I think these fabrics will do what I want.

My UFOs Unfinished quilts so far

These two photos shows the quilts that I have done in the past and never did finished. My goal is to finished all of these. In case you can not read the printed area of the photos, here is what they are: top: left to right: My son's Viewpoints quilt, Fireworks, which needs some fireworks..I have a sample but did not finish it either..Blue Bread Fruit needs to be hand appliqued..and finished
Second row: Another bread fruit also needs to hand appliqued and finished. 3rd bread fruit, needs to be hand quilted but will try to do it by machine. Baltimore Basic, needs to be hand quilted but also will try and do justice to it by machine quilting it..Bottom row, Hand Applique Basics..my tulips, needs to hand quilted also machine quilting.

top A practice piece for hand applique, needs to quilted, Treasure Boxes, Oriental Children, machine quilted. Quilt as you go, put together as the name suggest. Bottom: My unicorn panel-needs embellishments and than quilted, Silk Reticule, red velvet purse, needs handles added..no more red velvet and need to get some..my hand dyed crushed red velvet does not match..My 2nd quilt before QU a Memory Quilt for my Dad, have all the photos and just to sew them on...it is bed size quilt..right after I made Fr. Rick's memory quilt..Perfume Bottles, sister Mary Adkins made need to be machine quilted..Now I can also add all that I have made in the last few months to my list..I have 4 Bargellos to machine quilt..after they are all machine quilted I still need to put the binding on all of them..and some will add beading to them..going to take some time..I also have a Christmas quilt but it was to large to get on my designing board..also the diamond novelty quilt top I did last year...so far this is all that is put together..I have classes that are still in pieces and never been sewn..about 5 on my designing wall in this studio..I will get to them later and add to this posting..This is like a visual journal for me..maybe I will get to them..I also have about 2 dozen designs on poster boards, on cloth and so on that needs to started...these will have to wait..some are very intense..and a lot of work, especially the ones that I designed.

Brother's surgery

My brother, Bob Lausterer, will go in on August 13th for triple by pass. I guess after this is over they will do his neck...Please keep him your prayers. I am hoping to go down there but we will have to wait and see about things going on up here and dh job. I love you, Bobby..

Starting from Scratch Plain Star Blocks

I have finally done a traditional block. It was exciting trying to get it done just to see how it was going to look. Not bad for the first time. I made 5 of them and also learn how to do a checkerboard border, how easy that was and will use that again in the future..maybe on my Winter Bargello..lol
Here is a close up..don't too close, lol Now I guess I will take this over to my Multiple Magic class with Carol Miller and see what I can design to go with it...later results will be posted it I still have a blog...I had to rust to sign in and post to be able to do this..till next time..I will be picking out fabrics for my Winter Bargello with Ruth Blanchet..Have a great day..

Having problems getting to my blog

When I use my link to get to my blog windows does not let me have it..I had to go to one of sent emails to get here..so I do not know what is going on. I save this one and see If I have any problems..Is anyone else having this problem.

I just posted that it was working but I have to beat the it to post something or it won't let me have this page..this is horrible..
