Suzie and More Snow photos

Suzie has snow all over her bottom. It was as tall as her legs..and on her mustache..lol she was just hopping around in it..could not get a good picture of her in the snow..she would sit still..lol
Her wanting to go out some more and I would not let her..You can see she had fun...lol She is 14 years old this month. We have had her since she was 3 months old..She is good good doggie..and companion when alone at home. She is getting deaf and going blind..

This morning with all the of the snow. I can not believe I went to bed about 230 am and it was still snowing. I have no idea when it stopped.
We have an awning and my deck was loaded with snow. it doesn't matter it still leaks..
Dh's truck since he was home at 515 and it was at midnight..I know some of you are living with snow all winter but we don't. I hope all my family members enjoys these photos..

Two and half hours later-Lots of SNOW

The snow is still falling like heavy rainfall. It has not stopped. They said a few inches but more like 4 or more, I bet. it is not suppose to stop till 9 tonight..Now this hasn't happened in years.. Same view as before but with more snow. This is fun..lol

Snow fall of 2008

Across the street of the snow falling. It has been snowing since 1230 and it is now 230..We are suppose to get a few inches of snow. We are in advisory of a winter storm till midnight tonight..I have a feeling this is going to be an Ice storm like we had in Feb a couple of years ago.
Side view of accumulation on my garbage can. The bush is front is my azalea bush which usually has a few buds on it..but not this time. You can see a couple of daffodils. I am nice and cozy right now..Have a pair of jogging pants and shirt on, which I detest wearing them..but hey gotta keep warm..lol
I am right now redoing the beading on the butterflies set I made and putting on green beads and removed the gold ones. I follow the color of the novelty print and it sure makes a difference..I will add photo later on. Almost done with the larger one.

Tara Root that we make Poi from-And SNOW

OK family members, sons, nieces, nephews and cousins..if you haven't seen Tara root that we use to make poi, here it is..by the way I did not make it, Mom did. We five siblings use to eat this for our baby food...lol I did laugh when mom told me..They have this at the commissary ever so often and never bought it and did this time. I will boil it like a potato and eat it with some butter on top. My youngest son, when in Jacksonville (he was born there) we use to go to a field where they grew it and would buy some just for him..do not think he remembers..I will call him tonight and let him know that I have some if he wants any.
When I went back to Hawaii, they sold poi in a can and a milk carton. I did not like the can at all but the milk carton one was alright. I am not sure if I will make poi out of this..lol Hard as rock too. probably have to boil it for an hour..lol
We are expecting snow!!! Yesterday I was out talking to the guy that will be putting the new roofing up, in my t-shirt. A little chilled but not bad..just getting over the flu too. We will see if we get any. At this time I prefer not too. I want some warmer climate!! Who doesn't about now..lol
I have been busy beading and have been for 3 months. I have not put any of what I am doing here as not sure what I am going to do with my projects. I am hoping I can sew on the machine with my arm..so I can start on my son's quilt again. Well keep warm and chat later..
OH I found out the other night watching the news that Patrick Swayze has Pancreas Cancer..My prayers will be for you, Patrick. You have brought me many fun times with Dirty Dancing and Ghost..I wish you well. I have a huge 6' poster of him that my younger sister sent me and never did put it up as I am not into posters like this.. I also have his video on how to dirty dance, and another one can not remember it..and of course Dirty Dancing and Ghost in a video, need to get one on a DVD..lol

Book-Magnet bookmarkers and Pin Cushion I made

My dh bought me this book on sale at Walgreen's the other night.It is from 2003 but I do not have it. I love Nora Robers books. Do not have much time to read them but than when I do I have lots to read. On the right side is magnetic line book markers made for me from an exchange from Sharon S in my group.
Here the line magnetic book markers are on one of the pages..Are they not so colorful and pretty, thank you Sharon,.
Well, I am not much on making pin cushion. But I love the shoe ones that sissy sent for me to sell. But they were white with decals. Not my style. So I sanded the porcelain, sprayed it and sand it again and then painted it with 3 different coats. It does not usually come off but it sure did with hot glue..lol I learn something new each day that goes by. I do not like using the glue gun as I am a really big baby when I burn myself..and I always do with it. I had to stuff the top portion into the shoe to get it right well, I did not like it. but at least I got the color that I wanted, my purplish blue shoe..lol I did not hot glue the fiber on it either..lol I wrapped it around about 4 times and tied it at the back. lol It pleases me that is all that counts.
Here is the other side. I love it. I do not put much do dads on my pin cushions, after all I use them. I have plenty that I do not use but they are fro collecting but this one I intend on using. I have about 7 I use, I have them every where as I am a convenient person. I do not like having to hunt something down..it is there when I need it. lol
It is good to be doing other stuff again. I am going to try and sew tomorrow and see what happens. I will know tomorrow night, after all dh did order me my extra bobbin case so now I can free motion play a bit..my favorite thing to do is make my own fabrics and use metallic thread, I miss it..lol Have a nice tomorrow.
Just think it was in the 70's yesterday and now the high for tomorrow is 40..boy is any of you sick from this weather? If so hope you get better soon. Here is a big hug from me..HUG lol

Purse Photos

This is the front of the purse. Look at all those beads. Everything is hand sewn. The only thing different is the rhinstones looks like it came in a string and was couch on.
This is the back side. Look at that clasp on top..lol It has a long metal strap. It sits upright too and doesn't fall to the side.

Clothespin Magnet Exchange and chat

Sorry about the photo but got so much glare on the fridge I took it on my dinning room table. I have a plastic sheet over my cloth. I work on my dinning room table a lot and have ruined 2 of my favorite tablecloths and started putting plastic down. It puts outs a glare but not as bad as the fridge.
This for an Exchange in my group. I do not do pc anymore in my group so when I started up a new group in March of last year and close my old one I added N-More so I can do anything in it..lol
I have been busy beading away and making these cuties too. I have been on the sewing machine only after I have taken 2 Alieve's and wait about an hour and do some sewing. Why it bothers me to sew is beyond me..I can bead, paint but not heavy and sewing is not heavy.
Everyone thinks I have a Rotator Cuff damage to my arm and my brother said surgery is the only way to get rid of it..well, I am not ready for it. There has to be another way to get rid of the pain. Now I wish I had not push myself all year doing all kinds of textiles art and so forth..but that is me. Now I pay for it. lol
I haven't tried to pick up my heavy wrapghan which I have been itching to do. lol I might start another caplet as it is light. I have been watching a lot of tv lately, the Western channel and have seen two great movies of James Stewart. Boy he sure was a great actor..Shenadora made me cry so hard at the end. Good for the soul I say and than watch him with Brian Keith and Maureen O Hara in that funny movie the name escapes me right now. lots of laughs. I love all these older actors..as I know I won't see any nudity or the F word. lol Also I can not believe I watch an Alligator movie..how funny and horrible at the same time. You know they are not real but when the acting is done great. it feels like it is..if you know what I mean.
I bought, yes, I splurged yesterday, I just had to, a purse for the wedding, It cost at the regular price 25 dollars and it was on sale for 10.97 and when dh paid for it it came to 5 dollars. I will take a photo of it and put it in here. It does not match my outfit that I "think" I am wearing but if I were my other outfit perfect..It is beaded all over..lol Bought me a pair of swasorki crystal earrings and haven't taken them off since. lol on sterling silver so I can wear it all the time. It also was on sale and did not know that..lol Have a nice day and it is good to be back and typing with two hands. Lets hope I do not over do it again. lol Sorry for misspelled words again
